Yorkshire Three Peaks – Route Planning

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Although not due to take place until the 12 September 2017 I have started some provisional planning.  There is virtually no route planning as the route is fairly well set in ‘concrete’.  There are, however, timings to be calculated and checked to make sure that I can complete the challenge within the required 12 hours.

To be perfectly honest I am not too worried about the 12 hour bit, my aim is to complete the challenge of walking the three Yorkshire peaks of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in one circular route starting and finishing in Horton-in-Ribblesdale.

Thanks to the support provided by the Ordnance Survey and one of their partners Open Tracking, it will be possible to track the entire event from the comfort of your PC, tablet or smart phone.  Further details to follow.
